Department

PDI Software is seeking talented Software Engineering Interns to join our team for the Summer 2018. You’ll work in a collaborative environment to understand requirements, design, code and test innovative applications, and support those applications for our highly valued enterprise customers. The ideal candidate should have strong academic credentials, experience working in a team environment, and both the academic and interpersonal skills to help optimize our teams.

The most important attributes in a candidate are an inquisitive mind and a strong desire to learn real world applications to complement your academic experience. Familiarity with hardware or software tools should be appropriate for your academic level. This internship requires an average of 40 hours per week worked for approximately twelve (12) weeks in the summer of 2018.

Pay rate is set at $14/ hour.

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop subset of functionality for core product
  • Maintain and extend function of existing applications
  • Build code that is testable and create test cases
  • Produce documentation that highlights functional design & use cases associated with software
  • Participate in peer code reviews

Educational Qualifications/ Pre-Requisites:

  • Current college student with minimum of 3.2 GPA
  • Requires 0-2 years of experience and must be pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, Math, Computer Science, or a related degree
  • You are highly motivated and have a passion for creating and supporting great products
  • You thrive on collaboration, working side by side with people of all backgrounds and disciplines, and you have very strong verbal and written communication skills
  • You are great at problem solving, debugging, troubleshooting, designing and implementing solutions to complex technical issues
  • You have a basic understanding of software systems, software development and programming

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Java programming of JEE or servlet-based applications
  • JavaScript development
  • C/C++/C# development
