Department

Account Executives (AE) are responsible for increasing sales bookings and revenue through prospecting, identifying and qualifying business opportunities in their assigned accounts and territory. 

This position requires a candidate with outstanding interpersonal skills and strong technical aptitude, who is comfortable communicating with and selling to C-Level executives. Enthusiastic, disciplined, organized, and self-motivated, the ideal candidate is a team player who is comfortable in a fast-paced sales environment. A successful candidate will enjoy evaluating customer and prospect business needs, and demonstrate an ability to achieve sales goals.

Job Functions

  • Partnering with existing customers to help them achieve their business goals using PDI solutions
  • Conducting business reviews to understand customer business needs
  • Identify solutions for customer business needs
  • Become a subject matter expert of PDI software
  • Demonstrate PDI software through Go-to-Meeting to illustrate how PDI software can help customers achieve their goals
  • Research and identify business opportunities within assigned accounts and territories
  • Build and maintain an active and appropriate pipeline of sales opportunities
  • Provide accurate forecasting to business leaders on a weekly basis
  • Understand and communicate the value of PDI software
  • Attend trade shows to promote PDI software

Required Skills & Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of software sales experience
  • Experience selling ERP, HCM (Human Capital Management) or Logistics software is preferred
  • Experience in the convenience store, logistics and/or wholesale fuel markets is preferred
  • Experience working within a solution sales framework such as SPI – Solution Selling, Miller-Heiman, Sandler, The Challenger Sale, etc. is preferred.
  • Proactive, with demonstrable leadership and team-building experience
  • Experience with Salesforce and the Microsoft Office Suite

Educational Qualifications/ Pre-Requisites

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications or equivalent work experience
