Quality Analyst I

QA Engineers at PDI drive customer confidence by assuring the quality of our current and future software products. They contribute to a motivating Agile development environment that empowers team accountability and participate in building a supportive and deliberately developmental team culture. We have openings for two Quality Analysts and these positions may either be seated in Round Rock or Temple, Texas or Atlanta, GA.

Reports to

Development Manager

Responsibilities include:

  • Works with customers and PDI staff to audit, identify quality problems, improve operational processes, and support the development and implementation of improved quality reporting measures
  • Writes, maintains, and disseminates quality manuals and other documentation
  • Designs, prioritizes, and implements test plans, scenarios, scripts and procedures
  • Participates in process reviews and daily scrums to inform development of products and resolution of defects
  • Supports quality related bug investigations and trending activities, tracking components, diagnosing issues, and recommends corrective actions
  • Works with product development as a member of an Agile development team to contribute to the delivery of a high-quality functioning solutions to our customers
  • Develops and executes test cases to diagnose issues and bugs, creating test data and documenting issues from identification to resolution
  • Adheres to ‘best-practice' standards as well as departmental policies and procedures

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 0-2 years experience troubleshooting and testing software applications
  • Requires strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate technical jargon into layman’s terms
  • Collaborative in nature with a strong desire to dig in and learn independently and as well as through asking questions
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize issues in a fast-paced work environment with competing deadlines
  • Flexible, and able to thrive in a fast-paced high-energy environment

Educational Qualifications/ Pre-Requisites:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Computer Science, or equivalent work experience
